I help new moms figure out what they need — and actually do something about it.
Because early motherhood can be everything you wanted — and still leave you wondering where you went.
Maybe you're doing okay. And you're still not okay.
You love your baby. You might even love motherhood. But somewhere along the way, things got... complicated.
You feel overwhelmed more often than you'd like to admit. You're tired of second-guessing yourself. You're surrounded by people, but somehow still feel lonely.
You keep thinking you should be able to handle more.
You know you need help, but asking for it feels harder than it should.
And sometimes you catch yourself wondering:
Who am I now?
When did my needs become so easy to put last?
Is this just how life is going to feel now?
If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
Because I don't think there's something wrong with you.
I think you're figuring out how to be a whole person inside a life that has changed completely.
You don't need someone else to tell you how to do motherhood “right.”
You need some space to figure out what you actually need — and what you want to do about it.
You probably don’t need more advice.
I know. That's a little ironic coming from someone who is literally here to guide you.
But hear me out.
There's no shortage of people telling mothers what they should be doing.
How to sleep. How to feed your baby. How to work out. How to manage your time. How to be more present. How to practice self-care. How to ask for help.
And when you're already overwhelmed, all of that advice can start to feel like one more thing you're failing at.
I'm not interested in giving you answers.
I'm interested in helping you find your own.
So what do you actually need?
What do you need right now?
What isn't working?
What are you putting up with that you don't actually have to?
What have you been afraid to say out loud?
And what would change if you stopped assuming that your needs were supposed to come last?
That's the work I'm interested in.
Not giving you another list of things you should be doing.
Helping you get honest enough to figure out what you need — and then helping you do something about it.
Feel seen. Get clear. Make a change.
FEEL SEEN
First, you need somewhere you can be honest.
You can say the thing that you worry sounds ungrateful. The thing that makes you feel selfish. The thing you haven't even admitted to yourself yet.
No judgment. No fixing. No pretending.
Just room to tell the truth.
GET CLEAR
Once you can be honest about what's actually going on, we can start figuring out what's underneath it.
What do you truly need? What matters to you? What isn't working anymore? What are you carrying that’s weighing on you?
What do you want to be different?
MAKE A CHANGE
And then we do something with it.
Maybe that's asking your partner for something you need. Maybe it's setting a boundary. Maybe it's letting go of something you've been trying to control.
Maybe it's reaching out to someone and saying, “I need you.”
It doesn't have to be huge. It just has to be real.
“Sarah helped me externalize what had been internalized for quite some time, and once that vision for my life had been brought to the forefront, I could start to make progress toward achieving it.”

I'm not here to tell you how to be a better mom.
I'm here to help you figure out how to be you.
Hi, I’m Sarah.
I'm a mom of two, and the founder of Mamahood, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that helps new and expecting mothers build connection, support, & community.
I've spent four years sitting with new moms, and I've spent a lot of time sitting with myself, too.
Over the years, I've had hundreds of conversations with women about what motherhood is actually like.
I've heard the things moms say out loud.
And I've heard the things they say quietly, after someone else has finally said the thing they were afraid to say.
I've also done my own share of figuring it out the hard way.
I don't have motherhood all figured out. I'm not going to pretend I do.
But I've gotten pretty good at helping women uncover what's actually going on underneath the thing they're saying — and what they want to do about it.
I don't think you need someone with all the answers.
I think you need someone who can listen closely enough to help you hear yourself.
“Working with Sarah has been more effective than anything else I’ve tried because she taught me how to change or let go of the things in my life that don't serve me, rather than just accepting them as ‘the way it is.’ I have a sense of control over my life & no longer feel as if things are just happening to me.”

You don't have to become someone new.
Motherhood changes you.
Of course it does.
Your priorities change. Your relationships change. Your body changes. Your time changes. Your sense of yourself can change.
Sometimes you love the changes.
Sometimes you miss the person you were before them.
Sometimes you feel like you're doing a great job and still have no idea what you're doing.
Sometimes you're incredibly grateful for your life and completely overwhelmed by it.
Both can be true.
I don't think the answer is finding your old self again.
And I don't think the answer is becoming “more than a mom” or reading a bunch of platitudes about finding yourself with no action attached.
I think the answer is figuring out how to be you in this new life.
And making sure there's actually room for you in it.
Still You
A Motherhood Reset
You don't need to find your old self. You need to figure out how to be yourself in this new life.
You
Who am I now? How am I navigating this identity shift? And what do I need?
Still You is a four-week guided experience for mothers who love their little ones, may even love motherhood, but aren't quite sure how to feel like themselves inside this new version of life.
It's not another parenting course. It's not therapy.
It's not about becoming a better, more productive, more organized version of yourself.
It's a chance to slow down, get honest, figure out what you need, and actually make some changes.
We’ll explore:
Your People
How has motherhood changed my relationships — and what do I need from the people around me?
Throughout this program, you'll get short videos, guided reflection, practical actions, & live conversations with me.
Your Village
Where is my village? What does a “village” even look like these days, and how do I build one?
A note from me.
Honest thoughts about early motherhood — and all the things we don't always say out loud.
Once a week or so, I send a short note about something I've been thinking about, noticing, or trying to make sense of myself.
Sometimes it's something I've noticed after a conversation with another mom. Sometimes it's a question I can't stop thinking about.
And sometimes it's simply something I wish someone had told me sooner.
No weekly roundups.
No 47 motherhood hacks.
No pressure to optimize your life.
Just an honest thought, something to consider, and occasionally something to try.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to have you here.
Catch you in your inbox, mama 🩷
You don't have to figure it all out alone.
But you also don't have to keep sitting in the same struggle.
If something in your life isn't working, you deserve the space to figure out what you need — and the support to actually make a change.
